During my time stuck in the capital of Argentina I had to move away from paying with card to exchanging Euros for Argentine pesos. This because the inflation was getting out of hand and it is then I discovered the parralel economy of Argentina where the Dollar Blue is king, an illegal but semi tolerated black market. Where the rates are higher than the official exchange rates and your money is worth at least half as much or almost even double. I tried talking to change people on Florida street to better understand the job that they do. I also share my own and others experiences with cash in Argentina. As tourist I was very lucky to be able to exchange my money at Western Union.
