Living in Costa Rica Unvaccinated with a Vaccine Mandate Coming Dec. 1st Perpetual Tourist

#LivinginCostaRica #vaccinemandate #unvaccinated ‘Living in Costa Rica Unvaccinated with a Vaccine Mandate Coming Dec. 1st Perpetual Tourist’

When the vaccine mandate (to enter almost all businesses in Costa Rica) begins December 1st what does it exactly mean for the unvaccinated perpetual tourists (expats who have to leave every 90 days) and the folks who wanted to live in Costa Rica (with residency) because they don’t agree with the vaccine mandates in their countries (United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, France) and others? If Costa Rica was an option, should one worry about the Dec. 1st mandates?

This is what’s going on Dec. 1st- my video about here-

Costa Rica has officially swallowed the blue pill (well, not entirely. Yet, anyway). Starting Dec. 1st Costa Rica will require proof of vaccination (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson or Moderna) to enter most Costa Rican establishments. Establishments requiring the Covid 19 vaccine meaning- Restaurants, bars, casinos, commercial centers, museums, gyms, hotels, adventure tourism, theaters, sites of worship and sporting events. Supermarkets and pharmacies are excluded from this vaccine Mandate.

As Costa Rica starts mandating the Covid-19 vaccine (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson or Moderna) , it will ease capacity restrictions at most businesses and will begin allowing more mass events with in-person attendance, including concerts and sporting events.

“We have to give time for the people who remain to get their two vaccines,” said President Carlos Alvarado. “As of December 1, there will be no excuse.”

As of now this is what Costa Rica requires for tourists wishing to enter-

For those who are vaccinated, you only need the ‘Health Pass’

1. Electronic epidemilogical Health Pass form can be found here- *Complete this form in the 48 hours before arriving in Costa Rica. **IF you are NOT vaccinated, you will have to buy your ‘Traveler Insurance’ first since the Health Pass asks for the policy number and such. This form produces a QR code that you will be asked to show upon arrival. **Be AWARE- Some airlines may ask for this at check-in.

2. Travel Insurance must meet these requirements and if you use an international policy you must present a letter stating: -Guaranteed coverage of medical expenses in the event of becoming ill with COVID-19 while in Costa Rica, for at least $50,000 USD. -Minimum coverage of $2,000 USD for lodging expenses issued as a result of the pandemic. -Validity of the policy throughout the planned stay in Costa Rica. **Costa Rica’s travel insurance policies tend to be on the pricier side, you can get cheaper, don’t use the CR insurance if you don’t have to.

👉Trawick International is an international policy that offers affordable prices that meet Costa Rica’s entry requirements. You can find them here- 👈 *Although I heard about these guys months ago, I have ZERO affiliation with them, so I can’t answer anything. Do your homework. If you want to make sure YOUR international policy meets Costa Rica’s requirements, go here and ask them- [email protected]

3. Proof (airline ticket OR BUS TICKET IN THIS CASE) that you are leaving Costa Rica within 90 days. NOTE: Tourist visas are typically good for 90 days but be sure your insurance policy matches the amount of days you want to stay in Costa Rica. *If you purchase a policy that only covers you for 10 days, you will not get stamped for 90 (they know this manipulation, don’t try it.)

For those who need the Covid Test to return to their home countries, this video-
