Around 600,000 Catholics attend the reenactment of the Passion of Christ in Mexico City’s Iztapalapa district, which had been suspended for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “Traditional things were being lost and now they have resumed. Which makes me very happy.,” says 63-year-old housewife Susana Montano who has been attending the Passion of the Christ since she was a child.
