Argentina has two exchange rates for US Dollars – one is official, and the other is blue. As of early 2022, the “Dólar Blue” exchange rate was around 1 USD to 200 Argentine pesos, whereas the official rate was about 1 USD to 100 ARS. For travelers bringing dollars into the country, exchanging their money at the blue rate means everything in Argentina is half off.
